Key responsibilities include :

  • Maintaining and developing understanding of asset condition and the relationships between, duty and asset health, plant condition, performance, risk and expected life expectancy.
  • Support operational teams to improve equipment performance and eliminate chronic defects.
  • Provide technical support to solve and trouble shoot equipment performance issues.
  • Identifying, assessing and managing equipment integrity threats along with remedial works.
  • Manage site-based projects that improve equipment performance in line with system requirements.
  • Deliver technical support to Operational, Maintenance, Reliability, Health and Safety and Project Delivery Teams.
  • Work to identify, communicate and realise better ways of working and opportunities for improvement.
  • Execution and supervising of plant inspections, engineering and failure assessment works.
  • Ensuring that Mercury's Management of Change (MoC) process is followed.
  • Represent Engineering standards and continue to drive best practice.
  • Ensuring that technical and performance requirements are defined, and works are commercially justified.
  • We are looking for :

  • Bachelor of engineering (Preferred) or equivalent tertiary degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant engineering experience. (Desirable)
  • A full, clean New Zealand driver's license, or equivalent.
  • Experience on geothermal and hydro stations an advantage.
