We are looking for an experienced Reliability Manager - Botha to help us achieve our vision. This role will be responsible and accountable for the safe, high quality and cost-

effective management of the engineering function including plant, buildings, services, project management and people. This role will be a leadership role with management responsibilities for a high performing team and team culture within engineering team.

Knowing how to implement effective KPIs to measure the team’s performance will be a key factor to building a high performing team.

This role is mainly based at our Penrose site, Auckland.The plant includes bakery production (pies, Yorkshire Puddings, cookies, Xmas tarts) liquid bottling / pouch lines (sauce, cordials, syrups, salsa, mayo) and powder blending and packing.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities of this role include, but not limited to : Developing and leading the maintenance team to achieve maintenance effectiveness, optimum plant reliability, lowest manufacturing cost and product quality.

Responsible for continuous improvement of plant reliability systems, implementation of best practice maintenance systems and procedures.

Manage small team of shift engineers, key contractors and support services / suppliers, to maintain and improve a reliable plant that is fit for purpose.

Ensure equipment availability and reliability to maximise production utilisation and throughput.Responsible for Capex creation, Project Management and Contractor supervision for selected projectsProvide effective guidance and technical training for the Maintenance team.

Develop, refine and upgrade PM content on Maintenance system in coordination with MEX plannerCertified and trained issuer for Permit to Work System, and ideally able to carry out full range of permitted activities, including forklift, EWP, confined space, etc.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills, knowledge and experience : Experience in a complex food manufacturing environment with proven record of improving plant reliability and performance.

Advanced problem solving and Root Cause Analysis aptitude.FMCG background would be an advantage.Experience with MEX CMMSFamiliarity with broad range of food processing operations, and an appreciation for mechanical, electrical and automation aspects.

Strong leadership potential, with proven experience in managing & coaching teams to deliver business results.Exceptional communication and engagement skills.

Ability to work towards specific goals and objectives with limited daily oversight.Capability to perform some level of cost analysis and work within a structured budget.
