WaikatoDHB’s chemo day stay is a busy outpatient clinic catering for oncology andhaematology outpatients requiring a variety of clinical procedures includingchemotherapy administration, various diagnostic and palliative procedures.
The oncologyclinic area involves co-ordination of nursing care for all patients attendingoutpatient clinics for current treatment (receiving both radiotherapy andchemotherapy) and also for patients on both short- and long-term follow up.
There is a strong focus on patient education and advocacy within both areas.
The OncologyOutpatient service based at Waikato Hospital is seeking an experienced nursewho has a desire and passion to work within this area.
You will be required to rotate internallybetween chemo day stay and oncology clinic.
