STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES
Student Health provides primary health care services for students at the University of Otago and is staffed with 60 full and part-time staff who between them undertake over 50,000 medical, nursing, mental health and wellbeing consultations per year.
About the role
As a Practice Nurse, you will work as part of a large multi-disciplinary health care team in providing primary health services to all eligible students.
The focus of this practice is on young adult health care, but patients may be aged between 17 and 80 years old. A focused, flexible and positive team approach to work is essential, along with an ability to work effectively in a busy but well structured environment.
Your skills and experience
We are seeking registered nurses with experience in primary care nursing, but new graduates who had a final year placement in a primary health care setting would be considered.
We have two positions available A permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) and a part-time (0.64 FTE, 24 hours per week) which includes two evenings per week for each position.
Hours of work will be variable between 8 : 30am and 8 : 30pm.
In this role, you will report to the Clinical Group Leader of the Nursing Team.
