  • We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting children to be the best they can be!

    In a proactive and positive environment, children thrive and grow. At our weekend day respite programme, our staff are at the forefront of promoting active participation with peers, goal achievement and learning and fun.

    The weekend respite service runs throughout the term and takes a break during the school holidays. As a Support Worker, you will work as part of a team, dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe, secure and healthy space, where children with an intellectual disability can spend time in the weekends.

    Reporting to the Programme Leader, you will facilitate meaningful activities to enrich the lives of the children, in a variety of areas.

    Minimum requirements :

  • The maintenance of a full, class 1 driver's licence
  • Clearance from NZ Police and CYF's
  • A qualification in Human Services (or equivalent) - preferred, but not essential
  • Previous experience in caring for children with disabilities - preferred, but not essential
