We are a small supportive clinical team thatstrives to provide holistic care of a high standard in partnership withpatients and the key support person (KSP).

Our team understands the diversitydemographics of the region and aims to meet the needs of our community.

We are seeking a Registered Nurses to work in our TeKuiti Hospital and Community.

The work environment at Te Kuiti Hospital offersopportunities for clinical diversity in the inpatient setting, emergency, andcommunity nursing.

  • The Waikato District Health Board (DHB) is one ofthe largest of 20 DHBs in New Zealand.

    Te Kuiti is one of the three Waikato DHB ruralhospitals, and is centrally located in the North Island. On its back door arethe wild west coast and bush / native areas for those who like to enjoy outdoorrecreation.

    Waitomo Cave and Otorohanga Township, the Kiwiana mecca of NewZealand, are just down the road.

    Our hospital consists of a 12 bed Inpatient Unit,Emergency Department, Outpatients, Radiology, Laboratory, Physical Therapy,Occupational Therapy, and Community Services.

    All services have collegial and collaborativerelationships within the hospital teams and with community providers.

    In the inpatient unit, adult patients who requiremedical, rehabilitation and palliative care are supported. Locally residing GPsfrom one of the local medical centres are contracted to provide inpatient, ED,and PRIME (a model which others areas would like to replicate).

    Waikato is the fourth largest region in New Zealandand located just south of Auckland. It features a wide range of world-classoutdoor and cultural experiences.

    You can surf the world-famous beaches ofRaglan, swim at the beautiful beaches of the Coromandel, hike our majesticmountain ranges, tour the Hobbiton shire, experience the magic of the Waitomoglowworm caves, and encounter a vast array of flora and fauna at the remarkableMaungatautari Ecological Reserve.
