About the Role

Strong growth in our cyber security practice sees us looking for an experienced and professionally trained Security Architect to add to our dynamic and diverse Security Team.

  • This client-facing Security Architect role is a trusted security leader, takes ownership of security design requirements, leads client engagements;
  • contributes to the ongoing lifecycle management of a portfolio of security products and services.

    Within this context, we welcome security architects who enjoy supporting external clients, keeping up to date with new technologies, whilst at the same time building on their security experience in the IT industry.

    Security Architects at CCL are the seniors of the team and are expected to lead, mentor, and provide assistance to the rest of the team.

    They are often service owners and are expected to be subject matter experts in their particular domain.

    The successful candidate will have at least six years' experience in the information security industry with specific knowledge in the following competencies preferred :

  • Proven history of delivering excellent cyber security outcomes.
  • Proven track record of product and managed service development.
  • Expert knowledge across modern security domains : network, endpoint, email, web and public cloud security.
  • Excellent business and technical writing competencies.
  • Demonstrable experience in the creation and review of service and solution designs.
  • A strong understanding of security risk management, including risk assessments and security architecture reviews.
  • A good understanding of New Zealand government information and security policies such as NZISM, PSR, GCDO's ICT Assurance Requirements, Official Information Act, etc.
  • A good understanding of international information security standards such as the ASD 'Essential Eight'; ISO-27001; and NIST Cyber Security Framework.
  • Working knowledge of modern automation platforms preferable (DevSecOps).
  • Experience with common scripting languages (Python, Powershell, etc) preferable.
  • Current certifications in some of above is expected. A current full New Zealand drivers license is required.

    Successful candidates will excel working in a client facing role and display outstanding personal skills with an aptitude to get it right first time.
