Job Description

With the recent approval of the design and construct contract, we are seeking a Senior Project Planner / Programmer to join our project team.

The purpose of this role will be to plan, develop and implement the construction scheduling and programming for the project.

The key responsibilities of this position will include :

  • Develop the Comprehensive Programme as well as target programmes.
  • Interpret and communicate essential sequences of activities.
  • Regularly monitor and status report to the project leadership team on project progress and assisting in the development of strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Identify and communicate issues and opportunities to the Project teams.
  • Assist the project team in the use of planning and programming systems.
  • Assist the project teams with the preparation recording and presentation of extension of time claims.
  • Review and update project programmes during project execution.
  • Record progress on productivity rates, resource usage, project performance, contingencies and construction methods.
  • Manage complex planning studies, development of proposal and presentations
  • Perform audit and gather relevant data to appraise and verify compliance with established project baselines
  • Monitor and track KPIs and project tailored control measures.
  • Qualifications

    The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience :

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning on large-scale building or infrastructure projects for a principal contractor.
  • Advanced skills in project planning systems.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business with a particularly strong internal customer focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision making skills.
