HSE Senior Advisor Electrix Limited is one of New Zealands foremost electrical construction and maintenance companies and provides a wide range of services to the power electricity gas industrial and commercial sectors Our parent company Vinci operates in more than 100 countries with around 200 000 employees and focuses on building and maintaining infrastructure across the globe We are looking for an experienced HSE Senior Advisor who sees themselves as an influential leader with a strong collaborative focus an analytical mind and someone who can think ahead to assist Electrixs safety and environmental culture This position is based at our Mt Wellington office You will need to Understand and keep abreast of changes in HSE legislation and good practice Ensure the Business Unit HSE operational risks are identified communicated and managed Work with the Business Unit key stakeholders to ensure the HSE relevant EMS requirements and HSE strategy initiatives are implemented and practiced to a high standard Contribute to operational HSE innovation to mitigate HSE risk in accordance with legislation regulatory and industry guides Communicate and consult with the Perimeter HSE Manager and HSE advisors HSE representatives contract and project managers and field staff as required Lead and influence the implementation of HSE practices across all levels of the Business Unit Support the Business unit with unforeseen HSE matters Hold a national certificate diploma or equivalent in Health Safety and Environmental Hold an Engineering or trade qualification preferred Have HSE investigating training Have audit training Have a minimum of five years experience in HSE or Compliance environment Have the ability to transfer and apply knowledge and skills to new situations and environments consistently applying knowledge and skills to a standard of performance required in the workplace What we are offering At Electrix we strive to be an employer of choice and for the right candidates it can be the start of an interesting and varied career Additional to that Training and development opportunities Opportunity to progress within the company Competitive remuneration package offered If eligible we offer free medical insurance The successful candidate will be entitled to a company vehicle in accordance with the Company Vehicle Policy since travel is an essential component of this job In accordance with the Companys Drug Alcohol Policy the successful applicant will be required to undergo a preemployment drug test and medical We prefer online applications Once you click Apply you will be routed to our career website where you will be required to complete an online application This may take a few minutes Preference will be given to NZ Citizens or those with a Residency or current Work Visa in place Applications close 30 November 2019
