Our standards and Education team are looking for a Lead Engineer with a passion for building and delivering high quality products and experience at all stages of the delivery lifecycle.
What’s the team? Standards & Education is an enablement team focused on making world-class engineering at Xero easy. By identifying the standards that Xero engineers strive to uphold, and the education that enables them to do so, we seek to continually improve engineering practices in teams all across Xero.
What’s the role? As a Lead Engineer in Standards & Education, you’ll collaborate with other Xeros to help them create and deliver beautiful software to our customers, faster.
You’ll model the standard for engineering excellence at Xero, supporting Xero teams to grow their technical capability and improve development and quality practices.
You’ll contribute to the strategic direction of quality engineering at Xero, helping grow our practice by identifying technical gaps, promoting capability growth, and championing & demonstrating modern principles and practices.
You'll help build and manage practices and tools that solve engineering problems at scale. You will be enabled to seek clarity with technical complexities and be able to demonstrate smart ways to simplify.
You’ll be able to make data-driven decisions that will support our teams to perform sustainably excellent engineering.
What you'll do :
Contribute to and champion Xero’s quality strategy and standards.
Measure the cost or value of issues, and support incident responses and post-mortems.
