Auckland City, AucklandWe are currently looking to hire a new Territory Manager to drive sales activities for our products in Auckland.
This is an exciting position to lead and motivate a team of 10 sales merchandisers and, in the process, implementing an effective business plan to customers.
The territory manager plays a large part in customer satisfaction, colleague leadership and enhancing our company’s profitability and growth.
AccountabilitiesEnsure territory budgets and targets are continuously met through the effective implementation & maintenance of company initiativesEnsure operating budgets are adhered to and funds are effectively invested to enhance efficiency and improve effectivenessProvide management with competitor activity and market intelligence from customers and related sources across all channels of trade as and when requiredEnsure merchandise standards and promotional campaigns are in line with company’s directionsMonitor product supply and delivery patterns and ensure customer inventory is being effectively managed to increase salesIntroduce and incorporate new products to the range as and when required to grow businessCo-
ordinate and implement special projects effectively with Sales Merchandisers as and when requiredMaintain agreed call cycles in line with company resource allocation rational to meet internal and external service requirementsGenerate and deliver effective business reviews to independent outlets on a regular basis (either quarterly or six monthly depending on customer requirements) to educate, inform and influence change for favorable outcome25-
30% local travel around South East Auckland, and flexibility to conduct customer store visits outside of standard office hours both before and / or after store opening timesRequired Skills and ExperienceDegree in Business preferred but a formal education background is much less important thanextensive sales experienceHighly experience in sales activities and operations in AucklandStrong experience in leading a team (especially merchandisers)Sales Experience in various classes of trade and not only FMCGMultiple channel experience would be preferredStrong experience managing different customer personalitiesAn Offer to Grow On
