Due to an internal promotion, we’re looking for a Farm Manager who has good ideas and wants the chance to implement them, and who can drive farm performance.

Opportunities to develop your management skills on a high-performing farm like this do not come along often. The animal performance is high because the farm is situated on flat land and for the last four years, it has had a 25% regrassing programme.

The farm boasts a centrally located shed and very well-maintained high-quality races. Working for Pāmu, you’ll work with a Business Manager who will respect your abilities to farm and will support you as you develop as a manager and learn our systems.

We have financial, safety, agronomy, animal health, and HR business partners to draw upon regarding any aspects of the running of the farm.

The Business Manager will work with you as you take the lead on financial and business performance plans as well as strategic planning.

You’ll manage and develop a team on a daily basis so your planning skills must be well developed. Your ability to confidently delegate work and monitor results while running alongside your team is an important aspect of the role.

Victory Dairy Unit comprises of ·5 full-time team members + casual·900 cows at peak·A modern 50 bail rotary shed with great amenities·In-Shed meal feeding·Machinery of high standard You’ll need to understand the business financial performance or have a strong desire to learn with the support of the Business Manager.

You will be able to identify where improvements can be made and implement change when required. You’ll be tech-friendly as we have a progressive organisation that values the information data can provide to its operations.
