We are on the hunt for a Senior Procurement Specialist, Sustainability to join our procurement leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing our Sustainable Procurement Action Plan and proactively supporting AT in delivering positive sustainable outcomes via its procurement activities.
Working on initiatives such as transforming our bus fleet to low emissions or delivering positive social outcomes through our multi-million dollar construction projects, your work will be varied and rewarding.
You will also be expected to work collaboratively with our external sustainable procurement partners, such as Amotai and Ākina, and work closely with our colleagues in Auckland Council and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, to ensure AT stays at the forefront of sustainable change in Aotearoa.
In addition, this role will support improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our organisation's procurement processes, specifically for sustainable procurement outcomes, and improving the overall capability and knowledge of our procurement team, the wider AT staff and our supplier partners.

Tertiary qualified and commercially savvy, you will bring significant experience in either a procurement, supply chain, sustainability or commercial role within a large or complex organisation.
You will have an understanding of the role that procurement can play as a lever for sustainable change.
A confident communicator with strong customer, stakeholder and people management skills, you will have highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills.
You will ideally bring an understanding and appreciation of the workings and functions of the public sector, including current and future policy drivers and statutory requirements in the area of sustainable business.
With strong collaboration skills, you will be action orientated and driven to achieve outcomes. You will preferably have experience of working within complex stakeholder environments and are able to prioritise conflicting demands and workloads.
