It is the role of this Directorate to support all of the portfolio-based business units within MPI (Fisheries, Biosecurity, Food Safety, and Forestry).
In this way readiness is key to MPI's management of all of the major regulatory systems that underpin and support the primary sector.
The Readiness Programmes team plays a key role to MPI's wider readiness function. The mission is to ensure MPI has the people, resources, processes and systems to manage all threats to the food, biosecurity and primary production systems.
The team oversees a programme of work which focuses on improving our overall readiness capability and developing and maintaining generic readiness to support and enable all readiness and response activities.
In this role you'll plan, lead, manage and deliver allocated projects and programmes and actively contribute to work across the team, MPI and other government agenciesSkills and experience : To be successful in this role you will have had 5-
10 years leading, managing and delivering complex projects and programmes, working to diverse and challenging governance groups.
You are communicative, have persuasive skills and you are an influencer and a coordinator. You will use your skills across a broad range of areas and work across the organisation, particularly the Readiness & Response Services Directorate.
You will have sound knowledge of the biosecurity system and how Government works, and have a Graduate qualification in a relevant discipline alongside a Project or programme management qualification.
You will have proven ability to lead and manage a project team in ambiguous work environments, including in a matrix management system, and will have excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills.
