Here at Hobbycraft, we are looking for a Workshop Operations Manager to join the team based at our Head Office in Christchurch.
You will join us on a full time, 12-month fixed-term contract working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm with 1 day working from home.

About the role :
As our Workshop Operations Manager, you will operate the planning, delivery and communications of our new workshop programme.
This is a hands-on role so you will need to ensure that the workshop programme is optimised in both customer satisfaction and business profitability.
You will need to work alongside multiple teams including the operations, finance and buying teams to ensure successful programme delivery.
What you'll be doing as our Workshop Operations Manager :
Planning, defining, developing and executing the workshop strategy, developing a robust and innovate customer-focused experience both online and in-stores
Owning and creating the full workshop calendar plan and CPA of key dates for all comms / uploads
Working closely with the top-performing stores and online workshop team to identify trends, best practices, and efficiencies to roll out across the estate
Optimising store hours efficiency by reallocating best-selling workshops and releasing hours back where possible
Driving and developing new workshop trends from both store specific and entire estate needs
Overseeing and delivering all store comms
Working with the marketing, buying and supply chain teams to ensure the right amount of stock is ordered for each quarter
Delivering all relevant comms both internally to stores / online and externally to customers via POS
Continually developing the workshop programme alongside the marketing, operations, supply chain, and buying teams, reviewing the workshop listings per quarter alongside the sales and feedback
Supporting the wider marketing team as and when required on special events and other marketing campaigns and activities
What we're looking for in our Workshop Operations Manager :
Customer experience is crucial
A strong operator, with experience in communications and planning
Strong analytical experience
Highly organised, very focused with exceptional communication skills
Experience in working across multiple teams (cross-functional)
A commercially focussed mindset
Exceptional writing and editing skills
High standards of delivery, focus and drive
A love of all things craft
BA / MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications is desirable
Event planning experience is helpful
