The Product Safety & Compliance function is responsible for ensuring that our products meet the respective product safety & compliance requirements for our global markets.
The ability to liaise with all product development functions throughout the design and compliance process is critical to achieving "right first time" safety and compliance.
The focus for this role will be on product safety and the compliance with regards to all products. Note that this is not a Health & Safety role but more focused on safety and compliance for new or existing product projects.
This is a key role in our business and you will be looked to by the team to provide vision and leadership of our strategic goals along with strong technical leadership and to effectively develop and deploy your team's capabilities.
While doing this you will put the customer at the centre of everything you do.
Some of the keys responsibilities of this role include :
You will be passionate about developing a great team and delivering premium product to our customers. You have experience in Safety & Compliance leadership, so you are technically strong, you inherently understand both the strengths and gaps in team members' abilities and you develop individuals with regular, focused coaching.
Your leadership style is superb, you lead by influence, you listen and understand challenges and then you lead others to successful outcomes.
You're pro-active, you have a hands-on approach and the ability to work and communicate effectively, both within your team and across the organisation.
You can work proactively and collaboratively with a range of key stakeholders to ensure product projects are met within agreed time frames.
You know how to ask the right questions and representing the customer is imperative.
Ideally you will have experience in the appliance industry and have worked with Regulators and Standards Bodies to positive influence and represent product and standards improvements.
A relevant tertiary degree in either Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Science is essential.
