Transactional Services Coordinator

We have a great opportunity for a Transactional Services coordinator to join us on a permanent full time basis, working primarily in the rates revenue team.
This role sits within our Finance team and is responsible for maintaining Council's revenue, rating valuation, banking, accounting services and debt collection systems.
You will be multi-skilled, and primarily responsible for administering one of these systems as a specialist, and at least one other system as a backup, on a rotational basis with other Transactional Services coordinators.
We are looking for a customer service expert to provide advice primarily around the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 and councils rates policies.
You will provide advice to customers over a wide range of queries, relating to rates invoicing, rating valuations, negotiating payment arrangements, and administering remissions in line with council policy.
The successful individuals will hold a relevant qualification or similar at trade certificate / diploma level or equivalent level, or work experience in administrative or call centre environments with high level of customer interaction.
You will have a logical approach to issues and have the ability to work to tight deadlines.
We are also seeking a Transactional Services Coordinator on a part time basis.
