We are seeking a technical individual well versed in Animal Nutrition to focus in our Ruminant business. It is not neccesary to be based in Auckland, but any location rich in the New Zealand ruminant Market is prefered.

This position is part of the Local Solutions engine in the region for Ruminant. The position holder is working very closely with the sales organization on developing and defining local solutions for the customers.

S / he works closely with the species experts (trial capabilities) and regional category managers to support differentiation against competition on the ANH (Animal Nutrition and Health) focus products where required in order to drive and enable local solutions.

Networking and knowledge sharing is at the heart of this position. The position holder is part of ruminant nutrition expert team enabling and strengthening the experience and knowledge sharing within ANH.

The Challenge

  • Understanding customer (nutritional) needs and translating to viable business solutions and product positioning
  • Swiss knife" of the organization (alignment on key services / tools / research required to deliver solutions)

  • Matching internal capabilities to solution generation
  • Key support and technical translator to account manager or local species expert at interface with customers
  • Provides strategic input on nutritional concepts and product development, positioning and implementation
  • Representing the Region in Global technical solution initiatives
  • Develop and write storylines
  • Contributes to regional category management, marketing communication to optimize sales support
  • Knowledge exchange with various stakeholders (local specie specialists, regional product category Management, local Sales Managers, Account managers and Promotion & Launching groups)
  • Develop / coach local species experts and account managers
  • The Ideal

  • Master's degree in animal science / nutrition or related discipline. PhD would be an advantage.
  • Post graduate degree in business management is an added advantage
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the animal nutrition industry.
  • Good working knowledge of feed industry in Asia Pacific preferred.
  • Working knowledge in key industry tools, i.e. understanding of feed formulation
  • Value Marketing and Selling, Account Management experience preferred
  • Project management experience
