The Opportunity

Based in Auckland, you will take overall responsibility for the sales growth of New Zealand. This encompasses our Data & Digital Media practice (formally known as MightyHive) as well as creative, CRM and Digital Experience solutions.

You will forge C-level relationships within NZ’s largest & most innovative businesses and drive the strategy for business growth within New Zealand.

You should have experience selling advertising and marketing technology, SaaS products and / or other professional tech based services to enterprises.

You will be expected to provide a consultative experience to customers, deep diving into business needs and challenges, then develop strategic and technical solutions that can effectively address client requirements.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth in existing and new client relationships navigating upsell / cross sell opportunities as well as managing the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting, nurturing lead opportunities to contract negotiation and deal closure.

You should possess the ability to translate complex technical architectures and roadmaps into easy to understand visualisations and narratives to senior marketing executives.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with wearing multiple hats’ and possess a good mix of experience in marketing, consulting and storytelling for sales pitches.

Robust knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Marketing Platform or Customer Data Platform technologies is preferred.

This role reports to the VP of Growth for Australia & New Zealand.

A typical day for you might include

  • Pipeline development and customer acquisition activities, including direct sales, partnerships and cross-selling.
  • Identifying areas of new opportunity within current client relationships and designing strategies with the VP of Growth and account leadership to expand the business.
  • Identifying, assessing, developing and prospecting leads.
  • Oversight of prospective deals within your team to ensure accurate bids, compelling value propositions and a frictionless deal environment with minimal support from the Regional Head of Growth.
  • Achieving revenue targets as set forth by the VP of Growth, which is the primary measurement of success for this role.
  • Leading key customer / partner presentations and maintaining excellent customer relationships at the most senior levels.
  • Providing feedback to operations and marketing so we can adapt quickly in the market.
  • This job is for you if you have

  • 8+ years of experience in new business, strategic accounts, or partnerships role for a high growth organisation
  • 6+ years of advertising or marketing technology experience in a top consultancy, agency or technology company.
  • An empathetic and passionate approach to client services and / or sales, with a proven track record of client partnerships.
  • A firm grasp of the trends and capabilities relating to marketing technology, digital advertising and digital transformation
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with C-level and a robust level of executive presence
  • Skilled at working with cross-functional teams to successfully execute new product initiatives and develop partnerships
  • Experience leading the creation of proposals for complex deals and projects
  • A passion for the technology and innovation markets and are adept at following trends and speaking about their impact on companies and products
  • Fluid written and spoken English communication skills to effectively engage with colleagues and clients alike
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills, you can represent Media.Monks by showcasing our cases, capabilities and culture in client meetings
  • A can do / roll up the sleeves’ attitude.
  • Strong industry and NZ marketing relationships is a must.
