Simpson Grierson is one of New Zealand’s leading large law firms. Our Auckland office has an opportunity for a solicitor with approximately 3-4 years' experience to join our leading commercial litigation group.

This role involves working with five partners across a broad range of general commercial litigation, with opportunities to develop specialist skills.

We are looking for a person who has a sound grounding in civil and / or commercial litigation.. Experience in one or more of the specialised areas of litigation in which we regularly practice (including financial markets, companies, contract, property, competition, consumer law, defamation, insurance and privacy) would be an advantage, but isn't necessary.

You will ideally have experience in researching and writing opinions, undertaking discovery, and preparing evidence and drafting submissions.

Excellent communication, written and analytical skills are essential. You'll work closely with the partners and other senior lawyers in the team.

This role would suit a careful, thorough, intelligent person who enjoys intellectual challenge and is dedicated to giving our clients excellent advice.
