    We are looking for a passionate Payroll Specialist to join our team a to manage the end to end payroll process for the NZ business.

    This is a part-time role, 24 hours per week, and the days and hours will be tailored to suit.

    In this role, you will :

  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and payment of salaries and wages, the scheduling of all payroll financial journals, statutory taxation, superannuation contributions and employee payroll disbursements
  • Complete the reconciliation of payroll accounts and entitlements to the general ledger
  • Prepare and schedule payroll reporting and information
  • Prepare and provide ad hoc business labour reporting as required
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal company controls
  • Complete month and year end processing and reconciliation of the payrolls
  • Participate in team initiatives, projects and activities relating to process improvements, data integrity and business compliance.

    Ideally you will have :

  • 3 5 years of experience in NZ payrolls across a salaried and waged environment, ideally within a large organisation
  • A good understanding of accounting principles, standards and procedures
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and regulation, with familiarity in employee set up
  • Experience working in a sole charge capacity & / or the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated experience with Chris21, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
