Principal Capability Advisor Māori

The Principal Capability Advisor Māori leads the development of initiatives that builds Te Ao Māori and cultural capability and confidence of our MSD whānau.

This role ensures that our people capability requirements within our strategic direction Te Pae Tawhiti and MSD’s Māori Strategy, Te Pae Tata are in place and are well supported.

This critical position works in partnership with the Māori, Communities and Partnerships Business Group to build and maintain quality relationships with Iwi, Māori organisations and other government agencies.

As a key member of our Learning and Capability Team, you will also provide advice and assistance on Tikanga Māori and Māori issues and facilitation of consultation with Māori on HR matters.

We are seeking a passionate professional with the following experience in :

  • Contributing to strategic direction by designing, developing and implementing comprehensive cultural people development strategies, initiatives and protocols.
  • Directing a new cultural capability approach and exercising influence to drive leading edge solutions and challenge conventional ways.
  • Championing and directing projects and programmes and utilising best-practice evaluation tools.
  • Establishing relationships and ensuring strong and effective networks
  • This is a new position in our organisation a real chance to make your mark. An ability to speak te reo Māori is an advantage.

    Position Description :

    Salary range : $109,999 $164,999
