As our Country Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the overarching communication strategy for ABB New Zealand that builds brand awareness, enhances credibility and increases engagement in new and existing markets.
In addition to the Country Communications Manager role, you will also lead the communications for New Zealand’s Electrification (EL) business and contribute to the business’s success through strategic, integrated communication and marketing initiatives that support the acquisition and retention of customers.
Developing and implementing ABB New Zealand’s communications and marketing strategy and initiatives to promote and position the ABB brand, and to educate, inform and influence our customers and stakeholders including industry, government, media and employees.
Developing, managing and executing the communications strategy for the Electrification business and delivering the full spectrum of communication and marketing initiatives across : content generation, digital marketing and advertising, marketing automation, corporate and industry events and exhibitions.
Working with Electrification product market managers, marketing & sales teams and segment leads to ensure effective sales tools, materials and content are developed and distributed on relevant channels.
Generating content for multi-channels, translating complex information into appealing messages and stories, and creating online and offline material including presentations, speeches, articles, videos, media releases, marketing collateral, and web and social media content.
Developing and managing the company’s media strategy, identifying and handling opportunities and issues, crafting media releases, responses, FAQs, media visuals such as infographics.
Coordinating the crisis communication plan at a Country level in line with the global crisis response and guidelines.
Safeguarding ABB’s brand identify, corporate design and regulatory compliance in all communications, both internal and external.

Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as marketing, communications, PR or media relations.
Significant experience in relevant marketing communication positions.
Proven to deliver desired results through collaboration, influence, empathy and change management.
Successfully balance strategic thinking and the need to be pragmatic by rolling up your sleeves .
Influencing and persuading - able to present sound and well-reasoned arguments to convince others and ability to deal with a wide range of people with tact and diplomacy.
Strong ability to work with ambiguity and constantly changing set of circumstances. Demonstrates an approach to work that is characterized by commitment, motivation and energy.
