    The Waimakariri District Council are looking for a new Senior Advisor in our Greenspace team with the ability to work effectively across a wide range of issues and enable a customer-focused environment.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and skilled professional with a background in community engagement, public space planning / strategy implementation and creation, to join a progressive and customer-focused Council.

    We currently have some exciting projects underway within the regeneration of the former residential red-zone areas of the Waimakariri District as well as our ongoing program of works across Greenspace and the wider Community and Recreation Group .

    The successful applicant will be a motivated individual to work with internal and external stakeholders. In this technical leadership role, you will offer high-quality expertise across projects and programs of work for our community space network.

    As well as input into the growth strategy for the District, lead by example through the delivery of customer-focused service, and manage key stakeholder relationships.

    To be successful in this position you will need to have a solutions-focused attitude with the ability to work with various stakeholders with conflicting interests.

    An understanding of managing engagement processes, the recreation sector, strategy development and program management would also be an advantage.
