  • People, Governance and Capability - The People, Governance and Capability group focuses on ensuring that Kāinga Ora is a great place to work and that our people have the processes, technology and other support they need to be successful.
  • The People, Governance and Capability group supports our decision making and regulatory compliance, leads our approaches to risk management as well as health, safety and security, organisational change and continuous improvement.

  • The Senior Business Intelligence Specialist uses their significant expertise and influencing skills to lift the information and intelligence capabilities of the organisation as well as driving the future state of Kāinga Ora's Business Intelligence applications.
  • They will achieve this capability uplift by mentoring colleagues throughout the broader Information and Analytics community as well as driving plans to increase information literacy across all business units.

    Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
  • A minimum of ten years' relevant experience on Business intelligence.
  • Experience influencing executives and senior stakeholders to deliver superior business outcomes
  • Ability to develop a deep understanding of the business, and relevant data both within and external to the organisation
  • Expert understanding of data warehousing concepts, as well as with BI tools especially Oracle databases, ODI, OBIEE, Hyperion and Hadoop-related tools
  • Expertise in Analytics techniques and languages
  • Expertise in the use of Big Data, machine intelligence and other emerging trends and technologies in the marketplace
  • Knowledge of Rental home industry, community development, housing construction, management of assets, state sector and state housing (Desirable)
