About the role

We are looking for experienced person to join our Crime Monitoring team based in Wellington City. In this position you will work with leading edge technology that contributes to the investigation of criminal activity by analysing and summarising information.

We require someone who has the ability to remain focused within a busy team environment, and who has excellent listening skills and the aptitude to interpret critical information.

We are looking for a person who can complement the existing team and is able to work with both uniformed and other police staff.

This position is rostered to work on a 24 hour x 7 day shift. You should have excellent keyboard skills with at least 35 words per minute, good grammar and spelling, a thorough approach and clear listening and oral communication skills.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Experience in analysing and summarising information and producing well-structured and fluent written reports.
  • Identify and evaluate relevant and critical information.
  • Produce accurate, concise and well-constructed written summaries using correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.

  • Display excellent listening skills.
  • Produce quality work during periods of high workload.

  • Typing speed minimum of 35 wpm
  • Shifts are 24 / 7 : 2 shift rotation of Early, Afternoon and night shifts then 4 days off. Please note this is also includes weekends and stat holidays.
  • Special Requirements To be considered for this role, you must be able to

  • Undergo and pass a full reference and vetting check prior to an offer of employment.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret' level security clearance. This requirement means you must have resided in one of the following countries for the last ten consecutive years : New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, or United States of America.
  • Must pass a written and listening comprehension test.
  • Must reside in Wellington region.
  • This role is set at Individual Contributor level , this means your key purpose is to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business .
