The opportunity
You will have the chance to lead end-to-end delivery excellence in Structural Engineering through technical development and innovation, culture of design technical excellence, knowledge sharing and continual improvement.
You will also develop and implement the use of discipline specific standard tools and processes, including pro-active capture and re-use of intellectual property, best-practice development, knowledge transfer and integration in the business.
Co-ordinating with Practice Leads, Market Sector Leads and Group Leaders, you’ll provide the right person for the right project and ensure an appropriately skilled and resourced technical group to meet business operational and strategic needs.
Finally, we expect you to develop strategic direction for the national team in response to company and sector strategies.
Plus, lead client and project pursuits as required, as well as work with the Practice and Sector Leaders to define strategy and build our reputation, skills, knowledge, and business.

Qualifications : About you
About you
You will have a tertiary qualification in structural engineering with at least 10 years relevant experience and membership of a relevant engineering professional body.
You will be recognised across the business for leading skills in the structural discipline plus have good interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
Highly developed consulting skills are a must to achieve mutually successful project outcomes, as well as good written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients across our business.
Leadership skills are important too for mentoring and motivating employees and to be a role model within the business.
