    About the opportunity

    As the Dairy Processing Improvement Manager, you will lead a team of 9 direct reports, and a team of 18, to carry out asset optimisation on our manufacturing assets, as well as provide process support for BAU and improvement activity.

    You will support the design and commissioning of new assets, or modifications to existing assets to enable continuous supply and the ability to process all our milk and to drive cost & quality performance.

    This is a key role to not only our Hamilton sites but the wider business both locally within New Zealand and Globally.

    The purpose of the role is to provide specialist technical process guidance with high-quality process knowledge and expert technical advice.

    In addition, you’ll continually identify, drive & deliver improvement initiatives through the Centres of Excellence, and supply excellent Project and Programme Management, which enable our plants to reach their full operating potential.

    You will also need to prioritise and mobilise resources globally to deliver on plant full potential and centre of excellence initiatives.

    About you

    We’re looking for someone who has a strong background in delivering large-scale process improvement projects across multi-disciplines.

    With a proven technical capability across analysis and design, as well as food technology and manufacturing processes.

    As an experienced people leader, you will have a proven ability to engage with your team through collaboration and coaching.

    You’ll be process focussed, and passionate about change, ensuring engagement is high. You’ll always be looking for ways to improve process and project efficiencies.

    Other skills and experience include :

  • Tertiary Qualification in food technology, engineering, or science
  • Proven technical management experience, with focus on analysis, design, and control of manufacturing processes.
  • Previous track record of developing people, coaching, and building teams
  • Strong strategic / conceptual thinking skills
