The Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture is seeking an experienced Dogman / Slinger / Rigger to join the team on the Central Interceptor Project.
Reporting to the Supervisor you will assist with the safe loading and unloading of loads and providing direction for the plant movement on site for the Central Interceptor Project.
What you will be doing : Working with crawler cranes, rough terrain and other plant equipment Provide guidance for the plant movement on site Identify loads that are safe, taking appropriate actions for unsafe loadsApply suitable slinging techniquesAssist with the checking of equipment to ensure they are safe for use Ensure a healthy and safe environment for operators on site, minimising and reporting any unsafe activitiesUnderstand and generate lift plansThe successful candidate will have : Completion of Unit Standards 3789 (regular loads) and 3801 (complex loads) is essential2-4 years Dogging experienceExperience working on civil infrastructure projectsPositive and pro-active approach toward teamworkGood communication skills Safety aware Ability to work under pressure, determine priorities and follow instructionsConstruct Safe ideal but not essential we will provide this trainingThe Central Interceptor is New Zealand’s largest ever Wastewater Project consisting of close to 20km of tunnels, more than 17 shafts, a major pump station and substantial wastewater management and network infrastructure works.
