Due to the sustained growth in our portfolio, an exciting opportunity has come about for an experienced Business Development Executive to join this leading global corporate.
Your role :
Proactively engage with brokers on their client renewals and identifying opportunities for how Marsh Advisory can assist.
Driving new business campaigns to prospects promoting Marsh Advisory
Meeting with clients and prospects to help define their issues / opportunities and how Marsh Advisory can help
Preparing proposals, following up clients, close sales, building relationships with senior leadership and the Marsh Advisory team.

The successful candidate will use their problem solving and client engagement skills to identify where Marsh Advisory can help them, present the capabilities in a logical and convincing way and grow revenue while keeping our clients happy.
Participate in business development and strategic activities to grow an already successful portfolio.
Building relationships with client executives, senior relationship officers and segment leaders to discuss their clients, identify opportunity to introduce Marsh Advisory solutions and then work together with them to present these to clients.
Permanent full-time opportunity located in Sydney or Melbourne.

We will count on you to :
Successfully schedule and conduct sales calls and presentations and works to ensure the maintenance of a large portfolio of potential accounts and a high frequency of sales work.
Utilize existing network, a large list of account leads and insight derived from targeted research
Assist senior level colleagues specializing in various markets and / or industries with tailoring how Marsh Advisory can help and then working alongside them to execute the initiatives.
Maintain a thorough awareness of insurance market conditions including important developments, trends, competitors' positioning and match the capabilities (or identify where we should develop new capabilities) of Marsh Advisory to capitalize on these opportunities.
Work with the Marsh Advisory team to design integrated solutions, put together client / prospect presentations and proposals, present these to clients and close the sale.
Belong to various professional organizations and attends conferences and events to expand and maintain a large professional network and represent the company
Attend internal sales, networking and educational events and fly the flag for Marsh Advisory.
What you need to have :
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a professional services or financial services industry.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Highly motivated, with a client, service and strategic mindset.
Ability to present to and develop relationships at senior level.
Consulting sales or delivery background a positive but not essential.

Track record of delivering new and / or expanded business sales growth in the financial or professional services industry.
Strong communications, presentation, personable and stakeholder management skills
Computer literacy, including intermediate skills in MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word
Good negotiation skills and ability to influence positive outcomes
Self-motivation and organisational skills essential
Ability to plan and work independently and prioritise workloads
Ability to network and build relationships with a wide network.
