Our fraud team works together and provides cover for each other. We strive to utilise all team members’ areas of expertise to challenge the business to bring about innovative, expedient, commercially astute risk and compliance outcomes.

We are on the lookout for a Fraud Detection and Prevention Analyst to support Suncorp New Zealand (SNZ) to optimize its response to fraud risk within tolerance.

Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Provide professional risk advice to stakeholders including oversight, advice and challenge of all first line fraud risk prevention, detection and investigation activities.
  • Assist the Fraud Advisor to review and assess the implementation of the Fraud Control Plan.
  • Implement, monitor and maintain SNZ’s fraud detection systems, to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrate the consideration of the customer in all of their dealings by using the customer mindset tools
  • Collaborate with first and second line risk, and the rest of the Fraud Prevention, Detection and Investigations teams to create a fraud risk culture at SNZ
  • Deliver fraud awareness and prevention education and training where appropriate.
  • Liaise with industry fora, AAI insurance, Insurance Solutions, where required.
  • To be successful in this role, you will bring :

  • 3+ years’ experience within insurance, integrity management, fraud or financial crime
  • Experience in using fraud detection techniques highly desirable
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry risk management practice
  • Fantastic communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability.
  • Ability to clearly present and articulate risk positions / reviews and recommendations
