Our tech platform connects tutors and mentors to high school students aiming to achieve admission and scholarships to top universities in the US, Canada, UK and beyond.

This is a remote contractor position. Normal working time is at the discretion of the contractor according to their clients’ needs.

The purpose of this role is to oversee young students’ (aged 11-14) personal, academic, and extracurricular development in long-term preparation for admissions to top-tier U.S. universities.

A Rise Strategist develops a long-term developmental trajectory for each student, addressing :

  • Core skills (e.g. goal-setting, time management, stress management, recognizing values and priorities)
  • Academic skills (e.g. study habits, identifying academic strengths, using these to improve on challenges)
  • Extracurricular activities (e.g. suggesting new activities, deepening current activities, encouraging creative projects, encouraging community involvement)
  • Communication skills (e.g. reading, vocabulary development, speaking about oneself)
  • Major, career, and interest exploration
  • What are the main responsibilities for this role?

  • Student DevelopmentTarget academic, extracurricular, and personal growth to ensure a student is fully prepared for the high-school candidacy-building process in preparation for college applicationsCreate a detailed roadmap outlining the student’s growth trajectory
  • Internal Service Support
  • Collaborate with the rest of each student’s Crimson team (i.e. Education Coordinator, Academic Tutors, ECL Mentor) to execute on the student’s roadmap
  • Support Sales teams in select initial consultations to explain Crimson’s products and services to potential clients
  • Present on the Crimson Rise product for seminars or expositions in local markets
  • What skills and experience are required?

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top U.S. or U.K. university
  • Experience in youth or adolescent education
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills
  • Superior planning and organisational skills
  • Resilience when working independently under pressure
  • Team-oriented attitude
