This is a remote contractor position. Normal working time is at the discretion of the contractor according to their clients’ needs.
The purpose of this role is to oversee young students’ (aged 11-14) personal, academic, and extracurricular development in long-term preparation for admissions to top-tier U.S. universities.
A Rise Strategist develops a long-term developmental trajectory for each student, addressing :
Core skills (e.g. goal-setting, time management, stress management, recognizing values and priorities)
Academic skills (e.g. study habits, identifying academic strengths, using these to improve on challenges)
Extracurricular activities (e.g. suggesting new activities, deepening current activities, encouraging creative projects, encouraging community involvement)
Communication skills (e.g. reading, vocabulary development, speaking about oneself)
Major, career, and interest exploration
What are the main responsibilities for this role?
Student DevelopmentTarget academic, extracurricular, and personal growth to ensure a student is fully prepared for the high-school candidacy-building process in preparation for college applicationsCreate a detailed roadmap outlining the student’s growth trajectory
Internal Service Support
Collaborate with the rest of each student’s Crimson team (i.e. Education Coordinator, Academic Tutors, ECL Mentor) to execute on the student’s roadmap
Support Sales teams in select initial consultations to explain Crimson’s products and services to potential clients
Present on the Crimson Rise product for seminars or expositions in local markets
What skills and experience are required?
Bachelor’s degree from a top U.S. or U.K. university
Experience in youth or adolescent education
Superior written and oral communication skills
Excellent cross-cultural communication skills
Superior planning and organisational skills
Resilience when working independently under pressure
Passion for changing students’ lives, along with a willingness to learn and go the extra mile!
