Sus responsabilidades y tareas :

  • Takes technical responsibility for assigned projects from planning and design through to commissioning.
  • Develops and uses specialist knowledge to design and execute projects to meet customer specifications.
  • Solves issues and problems within and across functional groups efficiently & effectively.
  • Works collaboratively with other team members to share information and participate in constructive design discussions.
  • Acts in a manner that is professional to team members and to customers.
  • Designs & executes their work in a manner that is safe for themselves and others.
  • Displays behaviors which demonstrate that we do what we say we will do’, on time, and advise early if we can’t.
  • Communicates effectively and positively with suppliers, project team and customers.
  • Makes suggestions for improvement and standardisation with the project and organisation.
  • Is available to work on a project site for periods of up to 4 months.
  • Su perfil y calificaciones :

  • Education Background : Master of Science or Bachelor Degree in Engineering major
  • Min 3 years’ experience in engineering (preferably within the food or dairy sector)
  • Proficient in English
  • Has knowledge of unit processes that form the basis of process & hygienic system design and uses this knowledge to integrate unit processes into the overall design.
  • Has knowledge of unit processes that form the basis of services / utilities system design and uses this knowledge to integrate these processes.
  • Services / utilities include steam, hot water, process water, chilled water, cooling water, wastewater, heat recovery systems, inert gases and compressed air, chemicals, and natural gas.)

  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills to develop and communicate requirements to other parties to complete all aspects of design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of a project.
  • Collaborates with other functional groups within GEA including project management, CAD design, building & electrical / automation to complete the project.
  • Can independently develop PFDs, Heat & Mass Balances and P&IDs from concept discussion or scope of work statement.
  • Can independently develop equipment specifications for concept design, tender pricing or procurement.
  • Can manage the detailed mechanical engineering and installation of piping and equipment to the required legislation and obtain the necessary approvals for the system.
  • Can provide engineering input and support for other aspects of the project and can liaise with outside consultants and contractors providing specialist engineering services.
  • Can efficiently & effectively progress detailed design & procurement activities using GEA project procedures
  • Can write a functional control narrative for the process and can review and simulate software systems to allow the plant to be commissioned successfully and meet the design specification.
  • Can independently and confidently assess problems during commissioning and can troubleshoot and solve problems that arise
