Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the RoleThe purpose of the role is to work alongside Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) staff and stakeholders to help inform decisions and provide assurance that the Ministry's investments are delivering intended benefits, outcomes and value for money.

This work includes providing leadership and guidance on evaluation, as well as building evaluation culture and capabilities across MPI.Key responsibilities :

  • Provide advice and support in the scoping and delivery of evaluation services to assess programmes, policies and strategies.
  • Ensure that fit-for-purpose approaches are adopted by both staff and external contractors.
  • Collaborate with, and coach, internal stakeholders to conduct evaluations.
  • Promote evaluation learnings, and maintain tools and resources to help build evaluation culture and capability across MPI.
  • Mōu - About YouTo join us you will need to have :

  • Substantial experience in evaluation of policy, programmes and strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of evaluation methodologies, tools, techniques and channels.
  • Good project management skills, including experience in leading projects and achieving effective outcomes in situations where there are diverse interests.
  • Proven experience in delivering quality evaluation outputs on time.
