Who we are

We are the Division of Shared Services, a team of highly skilled professional staff responsible for delivering an outstanding student and staff experience through high quality, effective service delivery to all of the University’s internal and external customers.

About the role

You will provide administrative support to the President of the NZ Society of Oncology (NZSO), and will be based at the University of Otago, Christchurch campus.

Accountabilities include :

  • Attending the NZSO Executive Meetings and AGM including preparing and distributing agenda, minutes and other documentation, liaising with attendees to decide suitable meeting dates and times, preparing zoom and other support as required.
  • Maintaining membership records and contact details.
  • Support to conference innovators in organising ASM.
  • Facilitate communication between NZSO executive, membership and partners through a variety of methods including social media.
  • Providing secretarial support for Special Interest Groups.
  • Actively maintain NZSO social media accounts.
  • Flexibly providing other administrative support / duties, as required.
  • Your skills and experience

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programmes.
  • Experience with social media including Facebook and Twitter

    This is a part-time (0.4FTE), 12 month fixed term position.
