  • We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Accountant with apassion for accounting to join our Business Advisory division based in Dunedin.

    This position will enable you to work on a wide portfolio of clients includingSME's, trusts, partnerships, and companies across a broad range ofindustry sectors.

    You will also assist Managers and Partners in mentoring others within your team,lead change, work efficiently and effectively, and maintain positiverelationships with existing clients.

    The Role :

    Our Business Advisory Division is committed to providing complianceaccounting work, advice to clients, innovative solutions and service excellenceto large middle market businesses and small to medium enterprises across NewZealand and Australia.

    Key responsibilities :

    Assist in preparingbusiness advice and / or producing complex special purpose reports, annualfinancial statements, tax returns and reconciliations for companies,partnerships, trusts and a range of individual businesses.

    Work onbusiness advisory projects such as : budgets and cashflows, KPI dashboards andmanagement reporting, our virtual CFO offering, developing business plans,cloud accounting advisory, etc.

    Assist withmanaging and developing a portfolio of clients across a broad range ofindustries, ensuring jobs are completed effectively by meeting technicalstandards and deadlines, within budget.

    Assist withgeneral bookkeeping duties

    Liaise withthe IRD and other Government bodies on client matters

    Ensure alldocumentation including work papers and client files are maintained in linewith Findex Group compliance requirements

    Utilise yourstrong Excel skills and practical experience with cloud accounting products(e.g. Xero, MYOB).

    Maintain up to date technical knowledge to ensure compliance with allstatutory and relevant regulatory requirements

    What you need to be successful :

    An accountingdegree

    Achieved or commencedCA or CPA qualification

    At least 3-4years of proven accounting experience

    Strongcommercial acumen paired with sound technical accounting and analytical skills

    Accountingexperience across a variety of Cloud Accounting systems

    Genuinedesire to be an enthusiastic and active contributor to our growing team

    Ability todevelop positive relationships with key stakeholders and clients

    Strong attentionto detail and ability to prioritise your workload
