As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Consultant, you will be a key consultancy resource for internal and customer-facing projects with varying degrees of size and complexity.

Your ability to navigate and integrate across various technology domains both in the Cloud and on-premises will be critical in this role.

You will be responsible for technology design and architecture across the Cloud Infrastructure domain, providing end-to-end technical leadership, ownership, and knowledge.

Additionally, you will perform requirements gathering, analysis and hands-on technical tasks as part of projects.

You may be engaged in pre and post sales engagements from initial consulting and problem definition to solution design, development, and deployment.

You will use your expertise to deliver high quality consultancy and design to provide trusted advice to your customer both internally and externally.

You will work collaboratively with the wider Professional Services unit and within the Managed Services tribe to deliver customer value, often under an Agile framework, as well as with other internal and customer teams such as project management and operational resources.

There will be times you will be required to function as the technical lead on larger engagements with a need to manage a wider-technical team to achieve the desired outcome.

  • WHAT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Providing trusted advice, technical direction, and consultancy to clients both internally and externally as part of sales and project engagements
  • Writing technical proposals, design documents, and statements of work
  • Articulate technology solution options to key stakeholders in a common business-focused language to enable informed decisions
  • Responsible for analysing, designing, scheduling, and constructing solutions that meet the requirements and outcomes of clients
  • Develop and nurture contacts and relationships with clients and vendors to identify new business opportunities as part of the sales cycle
  • Stay current with trends in technology and the wider industry to contribute to Spark products and services
  • QA and / or peer review sign-off for technical proposals, design documents, and statements of work
  • Working collaboratively with wider Professional Services Unit and other Spark Tribes
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within Professional Services
  • WHAT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

  • Highly proficient in cloud and on-premises infrastructure technologies; particularly Microsoft stack
  • Ability to align business and technology drivers with solutions
  • Design thinking as opposed to break fix mentality
  • Relevant industry certifications and / or equivalent experience
  • Strong ability to communicate technical solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (e.g. RFP responses, technical proposals, designs)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Customer focused Preferably has experience working in a managed service provider organisation

  • Spark Professional Services is strongly aligned with Microsoft technologies, however, many of the principles associated with the required technical skills are transferable between vendors, and as such, the expectation is you can demonstrate transferability of your current knowledge to the Microsoft domain and explain how you can adapt your knowledge to provide value through your current vendor domain of expertise.
