We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our branch in Wellington.

Intergroup Limited is New Zealand's Infrastructure, Industrial and Coatings Services specialists with more than 35 years' experience.

We are 14 branches Nationwide and employ more than 500 people.

We do everything from pipeline inspection and repair, to drainage maintenance, hydro excavation, liquid waste management, specialist industrial and marine services, ultra-high-pressure water-jetting and more!

About the job :

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective, safe, and profitable operation of the workshop and be a champion of our vision of a high performing culture within the organisation.

You will ensure our fleet is serviced on a regular basis, fault finding, as well as repairs and diagnostics on an array of first-class equipment and trucks.

You will be driven to make a difference by mentoring your mechanical team with the potential to develop further.

What you need :

You will be a highly motivated NZ trade qualified fleet mechanic with a few years' experience with heavy transport / equipment and team management under your belt.

To be considered suitable for this position, you will need :

  • Experience in running a vehicle workshop
  • A relevant trade qualification with a minimum of 5 years' heavy vehicle trade diesel / fleet experience
  • A current NZ drivers' licence (preferably class 2 / 4)
  • A strong focus on preventative maintenance and safety
  • Manage expenditure to planned budgets, costs, and forecasts
  • Financial and compliance activities and reports in accordance with company requirements
  • To be workplace health safety and environmental conscious
  • A "can do" attitude with good communication skills
  • To be driven to make a difference by working with and guiding a high performing team
