We are looking for a hands-on, motivated production specialist who loves what they do and takes pride in their work to join us on a 6 month contract, working full time hours, with the potential to extend, in Christchurch.
You will become an important member of our experienced team of coffee packers, who work succinctly, quickly and efficiently to prep and pack our amazing Hummingbird coffee.
Based in our Hummingbird factory in Christchurch you will :
Package coffee -
Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
Fix issues that may occur during the shift
Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
Fill and report records of approved and defective units or final products
Keep quality standards high and aim for continuous improvement
Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
Complete quality and production records in line with policy
Report any discrepancies
Communicate and cooperate with team leaders and co-workers
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Labelling / tagging of bags in a speedy manner
Dispatch packing of outwards goods on occasion

To be the best Production Specialist, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience :
Production experience in FMCG / Pharmaceutical industry
Experience or interest in fault finding and problem solving skills
Willingness to learn
Physical ability to undertake repetitive tasks and some heavy lifting is critical
An upbeat positive attitude with a passion for all things coffee
Applicants must have New Zealand working rights
