    There is no better time to join our People and Leadership team, we are shifting the way we work, building our People Strategy and workforce plans, delivering a new HRIS and payroll system and looking at ways to build our organisational culture and capability.

    We are seeking someone awesome to help us deliver an OD strategy and workplan that will uplift our workforce and help us create a resilient, positive, and adaptive culture that enables us to embed our organisational values.

    As the Manager, Organisational Development you will provide advice and insights across Oranga Tamariki's business groups.

    You will lead and manage our approach to learning and development, talent management, wellbeing, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion.

    Your experience in developing and leading capability programs to drive cultural change aligned with our values will be essential to your success as will your ability to coach and influence leaders to take on new ideas and initiatives.

    Key requirements of the role include :

  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team
  • Demonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating organisational development frameworks and programs
  • Ability to champion change initiatives and motivate others to adapt to new ideas or ways of working
  • Experience working in a large complex organisation
  • Ability to engage, story tell and influence utilising people (organisational) data and metrics
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to write clear and effective board papers and reports
  • Team player with an ability to develop collaborative and effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and pragmatically balance both current and future organisational needs
  • Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
