As a Principal Security Consultant, you will provide technical leadership across internal and customer-facing projects of a large size or high degree of complexity.
In addition, you will perform complex technical analysis and hands-on technical tasks as part of assigned projects.
In most cases you will anchor the customer security engagement from initial consulting and requirements analysis through design, deployment to operational handover.
You will deliver solutions based on both Spark security services and bespoke customer requirements. As a thought leader in your domain, you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews.
You will work collaboratively with other members of the Professional services team as well as other engineering teams sharing responsibility for all aspects of Solution Design, Development and Support.
In addition you will work closely with the sales teams you will provide technical knowledge and guidance to support the promotion of Spark security services.

WHAT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Providing expert specialist Security advice, technical direction and consultancy to clients both internally and externally
Take full responsibility for overall execution and delivery of critical tasks or projects such as Data Centre re-locations and transition to new Spark offered Security services both traditional and cloud
Act as the primary interface for the client and take an active role in business development of net-new or follow on security engagements
Responsible for analysing, designing, scheduling, and constructing Security solutions which can meet the demands and specifications of the client
Build and maintain contacts and relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities through pre and post sales activities
Appraise and report on new techniques and Security products, and make recommendations on the acquisition of advanced technology
Write technical proposals, design documents and statements of work
QA and / or peer review sign off for technical proposals, design documents and statements of work
Present to customer or industry forums covering emerging technologies
Mentor and train more junior consultants and provide leadership to consultants on more complex client Security projects
Evaluate current processes and make necessary improvements and changes
Provide technical leadership within the Spark security services community
Lead security assessments in customer environments, delivery guidance and recommendations based on findings
WHAT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
Recognised as an industry expert in the Security domain
At least 10 + years of industry experience operating at a high level consulting, designing and delivering Security project / service outcomes
In-depth knowledge of Cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27k and PCI
Understanding of business drivers for technology solutions
Strong ability to communicate technical solutions
Customer service orientation and approach
Design thinking as opposed to break fix mentality
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve difficult or complex problems
Ability to write reports, RFP responses, technical proposals, design documents (SAD, HLD, DD), and statements of work
Analysis and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
Cloud security architecture experience
Preferably has experience working in a managed service provider organisation
Degree or equivalent qualification
Attainment of industry related qualifications or certifications in technologies such as ISC2 / SANS / ISACA / Checkpoint / Cisco / Fortinet / F5 / SIEM technologies / CASB / Cloud Security / etc.
