About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Survey Manager to join our collaborative and high performing Central team. From the pre-design right the way through to hand-over you will liaise with the appropriate team members and ensure all survey information is measured, managed and delivered to the required standards in a timely manner.

Making sure all surveying requirements on contracts and projects are carried out accordingly. You will also :

Determine appropriate survey methodology and ensure equipment to complete daily surveying tasks

Establish, maintain and monitor of survey control networks

Manage design and construction survey datasets and calculations. Ensuring all are up to date and presented appropriately

Do quality assurance on survey data

Ensure that sufficient evidence through the survey is gathered to support, claims, design variations and present the data appropriately

You’ll also take your skills and knowledge to help develop and provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to other surveyors and cadets.

About you

You’ll need proven experience in surveying and in civil construction and hold a NZ Certificate in Land Surveying / Diploma in Surveying or Bachelor of Surveying (or international equivalent).

You’ll also couple this with :

Proven experience in both continuous surveying and construction

Technologically savvy with indepth experience using 12d model software, Civil3D, Leica / Trimble Total Stations, GNSS and Machine Control

Have a proven track record of being a strong team player and leading junior staff. Providing technical knowledge and skills to ensure the team achieve the required project outcomes

Great interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and communicate at all levels

A safety first mindset

The ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
