He angitūtanga : The opportunity
We are currently looking for Code Compliance Certificate Assessors to join the Field Surveying team based in the North / West, South, and Central Auckland offices.
The roles will be responsible for assessing and reviewing building consent records (plans, building consent conditions, and inspection records) and issuing of Code Compliance Certificate.
The role ensures Auckland Council is satisfied on reasonable grounds that compliance has been achieved with the approved building consent and legislative requirements.
You will provide technical advice, support, and guidance to our customers to ensure you assist them through the final stages of their construction projects.
He kōrero mōu : About you
Naturally, you will have sound technical skills and be a good team player with close working relationships within the inspection and administration teams and the other areas within the council.
Having a customer-focused approach is extremely important to this role. Having a good eye for detail and being methodical in your approach to assessments would be your key to success as an assessor.
You would be expected to have a good knowledge and understanding of the Building Act 2004 and the Building Regulations and Codes.
A recognised building-related qualification (Building Control Surveying / Construction / Architecture) or at least 3-5 years of practical experience in a building-related field would be good.
