    Due to growth both within our business and that of our clients’, we now have opportunities for an ambitious accountant, looking to take the next step in their career, to join our dynamic Auckland office.

    What might your typical day look like? While a typical day is difficult to articulate, below are some key aspects of the role :

  • Adopting different methods to collect and analyse data from various sources with the purpose of deriving actionable insights to form recommendations that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Managing financial statement workflows.
  • Supporting the team by drafting and preparing a range of client deliverables under the guidance of the leadership team.
  • Sharing knowledge and experiences to develop yourself, peers and junior team members.
  • Being present in the market, and creating opportunities to build relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Being a part of the culture, becoming a role model for our people and clients, as well as recognising others for the impact they make by their valued contributions.
  • Enough about us, lets talk about you. You are someone with :

  • Sound accounting and advisory skills developed through 2+ years’ New Zealand work experience in a corporate environment (preferably with 2 years from a mid-tier or Big4 accounting firm).
  • Recently completed or actively working towards your CA qualification (we can support you on your journey!).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to build rapport quickly across all levels within our teams and clients.
  • Good problem solving skills with an eye for detail - able to report on findings, draw insights and help develop tangible solutions.
  • Working experience in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with NZ IFRS as well as IRD Standards.
  • Working knowledge of Xero and other Financial ERP / Business Systems.
  • A drive for excellence and a can-do attitude.
  • A team player that values input and support from team but can also work autonomously.
