Responsible for supporting all environmental compliance programs for MPL operated product terminals, pipeline stations, and pipeline system.

In addition, responsibility will be to provide back-up support for other MPL facilities located within other regions of the MPL network.

Working closely with operating personnel to provide routine environmental support service.

Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of state and federal environmental regulations, corporate programs, and developing internal compliance procedures with the support of operations.

Reviewing compliance data and ensuring operational data is within compliance limits.

Preparing certain air compliance monitoring reports, providing waste compliance guidance, and supporting Program Leads for air and water reporting compliance.

Provide environmental guidance and expertise on project related activities.

Participating in environmental audits, which includes working closely with management and operating personnel to resolve audit recommendations to enhance compliance.

Review and support of environmental plans / procedures (i.e., Stormwater Protection Plans, Spill Prevention Plans, Waste Minimization Plans, etc.).

Coordinating compliance testing and field sampling activities, which includes protocol development, supporting field activities, and completing agency submittals.

Providing training to operating personnel on environmental topics and procedures.

Establishing and maintaining relationships with regulatory agencies.

Participate in Stop-Help-Starts by providing guidance on environmental issues / concerns.

Providing environmental support during emergency response situations. Will be on call to provide emergency reporting / support services.

Managing contractors who provide environmental compliance support.

Other responsibilities, such as L&S-Terminals environmental compliance support, as assigned.

Support MPL Environmental, Social, Governance and Sustainability goals and projects

Education & Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in a technical track (Engineering, Environmental, Chemistry, etc.)

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Environmental Compliance

Skills :

Highly motivated, customer-centered self-starter

Can work with limited direct oversight

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Proficient computer skills

Able to think strategically and work towards continual improvement of environmental compliance programs and processes by using strong interpersonal skills to influence individuals and teams.
