About this role

The Provider Assurance Group is a new function at the Ministry. As such you will be excited about being part of a leadership team that is responsible for building a unique and successful capability from the ground up.

The Principal Advisor, Investigation & Recovery is critical to the Provider Assurance Group's success. You will lead our investigation efforts and maintain overall responsibility for the quality and timeliness of our investigative activities.

You will support our efforts to upskill our people in understanding indicators of fraud and embed techniques that ensure the integrity of our systems and processes.

About you

To be successful you will need :

  • Proven work experience as an investigator
  • Hands on experience leading financial investigations
  • Proficient in interpreting evidence and reconstructing events
  • Ability to observe minute details and to produce detailed reports
  • In depth knowledge of criminal law, rules, and legislation
  • Familiarity with the rules surrounding the collection and preservation of evidence
  • Thorough understanding of the investigation process
  • Strong financial and analytical skills along with strong interviewing skills
  • Honest and ethical with high levels of integrity and confidentiality
