It's exciting times at CARTERS - we're proud to be preparing to open a new branch in Wellington South. Expanding our presence in the Wellington region means we'll be able to provide another great location for our building partners to grab the materials they need to build and construct our country.

CARTERS Wellington South are looking to build a new team who will lead the way and deliver just what our customers are looking for.

You'll need to be ready for the challenge, adaptable while we get things up and running and ultimately a team player who can work well in a new environment.

At Carters we're all about building. Whether it is a multi-million-dollar development or changing a tap, we've got the expertise to help with your next building project.

We are seeking an experienced go-getter with local market insight and industry know-how to build on our customers' success.

Working closely with the Branch and Sales Managers, our New Business Account Manager role will see you :

  • Partner with and develop new relationships in this region
  • Source new business opportunities through leads and relationship building in the market place
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure Carters provides complete solutions and packages for our Customers
  • Implement regular sales cycles, visit building sites and identify opportunities for growth
  • Provide product and market info to your Customer base
  • Read building plans, understand your Customer's build and anticipate what they will need next

    The foundations to this role will see you demonstrating the below skill set :

  • Successful sales track record within a new B2B environment and the ability to build solid relationships at all levels
  • Breaking into new markets excites you and you understand the value of price and margin in building a profitable business
  • High level of self-motivation where you work well autonomously and are comfortable managing call cycles
  • Strong commercial acumen together with the ability to quickly adapt to market requirements and learn a new industry
  • Exposure to and knowledge of the building or a trade industry is very advantageous
