This programme is undergoing staged development and implementation at national, catchment and local scales, collecting data on plant and animal communities, water quality and habitat characteristics at a range of locations throughout the country.
The objective of this programme is to provide data at a range of scales to enable robust status and trend assessment of the ecological integrity of freshwater streams and rivers.
He angitūtanga : About the RoleWe are seeking a Technical Advisor Monitoring, Freshwater where you will provide logistical and field work support as well as contribute to planning, monitoring and coordinating the implementation of the integrated freshwater monitoring programme.
You will provide specialist advice to support the implementation of methods, systems and tools underpinning the programme, including training, information management, sample and data curation and quality control and assurance processes.
This is a pivotal role working across multiple teams and external organisations to support implementation.This position is based in Christchurch or Wellington, however we may be open to alternative locations such as Hamilton and Wellington.

Salary Range $72,610 to $92,780. Starting salary of the successful candidate will be based on their relevant skills and experience.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
