In this newly formed role, our Auckland operational team are looking for a Commercial Support Manager to join and working closely alongside the Regional & Branch Managers on all aspects from business development, fleet, continuous improvement projects to achieve business plans.

This is a varied role where you will be involved with

Supporting both Branch & Regional Manager closely on day to day operations, and projects

Identifying opportunities for growth within the Commercial market

Managing various continuous improvement projects

Providing technical expertise and knowledge to the operational team to ensure full compliance

Regular reporting on performance, and making recommendations where necessary

Building relationships with current & potential customers

Maintaining external vendor relationships to ensure optimal outcomes for the business

What you'll bring

Proven experience in leading, influencing and building relationships both internally & externally

Challenging of existing thinking in order to provide innovative solutions for continued success

Fleet management experience and solid understanding of logistics, routing and on-going maintenance

Business development experience and confidence presenting ideas up to executive level

3-5 years’ middle management experience within Transport, Logistics or Waste in a large organisation

Commercial awareness and understanding of financial principles to drive performance

Working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety and Compliance, and the importance of championing this
