About the Role

We are looking for multiple Executive Assistants (Executive Support) to work alongside Te Arawhiti, Office of Maori Crown Relations.

We are a fast paced, dedicated and passionate team with a strong customer focus. The leadership group consists of Deputy Chief Executives and Directors so experience supporting at an equal or similar level is preferred.

We are looking for applicants who uses their initiative and who always thinks ahead. The ideal applicants will have excellent time management and prioritisation capabilities with strong interpersonal skills.

You will be adaptable and will have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.

Switching gears will be your forte where you strive in a fast paced working environment.

He pūkenga tou / Skills and Experience

Your key responsibilities in this role will be, but not limited to :

  • Diary and calendar management including scheduling internal and external meetings
  • Coordination of documentation for meetings
  • Travel and accommodation management
  • Managing correspondence including that of a highly confidential nature
  • Supporting the wider Executive Support team with general administration
  • Working to multiple managers
  • Coordination of monthly reporting
  • Provide secretariat support to internal committees
  • Contribute to wider process improvements
  • To be successful in the role you will have :

  • Strong working knowledge of the MS Office suite
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Confidence in working with all levels of management
  • Experience working in either an Executive Assistant role or extensive Personal Assistant experience and ready to take the next step in your career.

    We're a new Crown agency dedicated to fostering strong, ongoing and effective relationships with Māori across government.

    We do this by negotiating the settlement of historic Treaty of Waitangi claims (Te Kāhui Whakatau), engaging with applicants under the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act and the Ngā Rohe Moana o Ngā Hapū o Ngāti Porou Act (Te Kāhui Takutai Moana), ensuring the durability of historical Treaty settlements (Te Kāhui Whakamana), and improving the health of the Māori Crown relationship (Te Kāhui Hīkina).

    Te Hāpai Ō Strategy, Policy and Legal work with us to develop policy and strategic advice, and provide legal advice.
